Specializing in various disorders for all ages teen through geriatric

As a dedicated mental health therapist with a strong foundation in both personal and professional development, I bring a wealth of experience and a compassionate approach to my practice. My journey began with an undergraduate education in Social Work at Baylor University, followed by advanced graduate work in Social Work Business Administration from Texas State University. This academic foundation, combined with over a decade of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator and Assisted Living Administrator, has provided me with a unique perspective on the multifaceted challenges individuals face across different stages of life.

Currently, I serve as the Clinical Program Director at a Behavioral Health Hospital, overseeing both inpatient and outpatient services. This role has honed my expertise in managing a diverse range of mental health issues and crisis situations. My competencies span a wide array of areas including Adjustment Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Family Dysfunction, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Women's Issues, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma, Adolescent Behavioral Disorders, Crisis Stabilization, Grief/Loss, Self-Harm/Suicidal Ideation (SI), Work-Related Stressors, ADHD Skills Training and Diagnosis, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anger Management, Couples Therapy, Sexual Abuse, Anxiety/Panic Disorder, Depression, Mood Disorders, Stress Management, Attachment Disorder, Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (Schizophrenia/Schizoaffective), Abuse/Neglect, Adoption/Post-Adoption Issues, Divorce/Separation/Co-Parenting, Changes in the Stages of Life (Geriatric), "Sandwich Generation" Working Families, and High School to College Transition.

I am passionate about working with a broad demographic, including adolescents, teenagers, college students, young parents, and geriatric clients. My approach is client-centered and holistic, focusing on empowering individuals to draw strength from within and from their spiritual beliefs to navigate life's challenges. As a mother of four children, three in college and one in high school, I understand the intricacies of balancing personal and professional life. This personal experience enriches my ability to connect with and support my clients through their unique journeys.

In my practice, I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. My commitment is to help individuals harness their inner resources and resilience, enabling them to thrive through the various seasons of life.
